Oregon Coast Pre-Elopement Engagement Session

I knew I had to revisit Oregon after Molly and Colin’s coastal Oregon elopement. I met Nadine and Caleb at Brandi Potter's Oregon Workshop on Oregon's foggy, rocky coast. We started the workshop with this in-home, beachfront engagement session. Nadine and Caleb’s chemistry was so natural. We played on Gearhart, Oregon’s brisk beach, then cozied up inside with warm tea and soft light.

I always recommend a little time in front of my camera before your elopement or wedding. Not only do we get acquainted and comfortable shooting, but taking intentional time before your elopement to really relish in your love makes for such a sweet memory. Sessions like this are a great way to kick off your elopement weekend. You also walk away with casual photos that make for a more diverse selection for printing.

We ventured out a bit before sunset onto the foggy beach and sunk into the fog. We ran from sneaker waves and laughed about the foam on our shoes. I expected colder weather in December, but it was honestly the perfect weather for those foggy, moody, Oregon vibes I love. There’s something so incredibly cinematic about Oregon. I love every chance I get to photograph love among that landscape.
